If you've looked for a used car recently, you know it's tough out there. Tons of shady used car lots and car hustlers. Recently I was looking for a good reliable car for my son. We saw everything from rusted out under carriages, misfiring cylinders, unsecured batteries just sliding around, mismatched radiators, and frame damage....just to name a few. And these were from the cars that I originally thought were in good shape! After weeks of searching we finally found a great car at Schmidt Family Auto. We've been going to Charlies Auto Repair for years, and we know that they only sell cars that they stand behind. They do the hard work for you by filtering through all the junk, making the necessary repairs, and offering cars that you can count on. Julia was great to work with, answered all of our questions, and took good care of us. When you are looking for a good solid used car for your family, make this your first stop!

I know this is long, but I can't explain what a wonderful family and business this is in just a few words. I originally met Charlie, the owner of the dealership and Charlie's Auto Shop, several years ago when I was desperately looking for a new vehicle. I explained my sad situation as I was replacing a vehicle I had just bought from a different dealership, which revealed a blown head gasket after 1 month. I was understandably wary. Charlie hooked me up with a private sale from a family member. He listened, took his time with me, was empathetic, and did a full service to the vehicle I was buying with the purchase even though it was a private sale. He even bought my old car from me to help me with the purchase. Since that time I have trusted Charlie with all my vehicles. The type of business owner and genuinely great person is reflected in his staff and children as well. I recommend him to everyone. I tell that story so you understand the type of people you will be dealing with and understand that sense of fair, pleasant, personable way of dealing with people has passed down to his daughter, Julia. When it was time for my daughter to buy her first car I wanted to be sure she would get a fair deal and a good car so I immediately thought of Schmidt Family Auto Sales. Julia was very knowledgeable, pleasant and thoughtful through the process. She worked with my daughter, explaining everything about financing, the purchase process, the included warranty and the differences in the vehicles we were looking at. We settled on a vehicle and Julia took care of everything. We were very excited about the car but in a short time some problems came up. We took the car in to Charlie's shop and it ended up being bigger issues than we thought. Again, this is where Charlie Schmidt's amazing, excellent, upstanding, way of doing business comes through. I am sure that any other dealer would have said the repairs weren't covered by the warranty, leaving us to stress about fighting them or paying for costly repairs, but not Charlie. Unfortunately, even the best mechanic / dealer can't see every problem with a vehicle they take in which is why Schmidt Auto gives a warranty with every car they sell. He showed me what was wrong, what could void the warranty, what repair was needed, what costs would be (which were significant) and that HE WOULD COVER ALL THE REPAIRS. He didn't hesitate to take the full responsibility, and that just goes to show what kind of business owner Charlie is. I would recommend Schmidt Family Auto and Charlie's Auto Shop to everyone!

I recently bought a 2008 Honda Civic from Schmidt family auto. It was a pleasant experience. Both Julia and Charlie, as well as the staff at the auto shop, were very pleasant, personable, and helpful. There was a small issue with the power steering after I purchased the car and Charlie took care of it, no questions asked. I'll gladly return in the future and recommend to anyone in need of a vehicle.

What a breath of fresh air for purchasing a vehicle! I seen the vehicle early on a Friday morning and by 3pm I was signing the paperwork. Julia is friendly, honest and more than willing to answer any questions you have about the car. Charlie is the owner and mechanic in the area for years with his family. They aren’t trying to get over on anyone, I even asked for the car to go up on a life to see its condition and they did it with no issues. I also was able to get a good loan with a warranty for the the full term. Just nice to buy a car but not get that corporate sales pitch feeling like someone is going to rip you off. Would recommend 100 percent!

If you're looking for a place you can go get a new car in less than 2 hours this is the place to go! Julia is super fast, straight to the point, non-pressuring & very welcoming. I appreciate the experience, the great deal!!!! & the honesty from both Charlie & Julia. Great service. 10/10 & will recommend. 😊🙌🏼
